Scientists have developed a new laser powered chemical technique that can take dozens of samples from a single strand of hair. Using this new information, forensic scientists can now determine what somebody ate or where they went by just analyzing their hair. These results are accurate up to the hour. They formed a new way to differentiate carbon isotopes found in the hair using an ultraviolet laser that breaks up the material rather than burning it like current methods. They say your hair is a record of carbon ratios and one scientist said he could guess what country you've been to by studying your hair. They are currently working on lasers for oxygen, sulfur, and nitrogen which would be even more accurate.
